Mrs. H

After the conference/Thanksgiving week, we will complete our 4th unit on multiplying and dividing of fractions and mixed numbers.  The students are recognizing the similarity in both operations with fractions.  We are also continuing to stress the importance of reading questions carefully, showing clear steps, and asking if our answers are reasonable.  I hope that you have a productive conference and a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Students then do the Act-it-Out in class as a culminating event.

When we return from Thanksgiving break, we will have one more spelling quiz before Christmas break!  It will be on Lesson 5, challenge words included, on December 13th. Words can be found on my website:

Students will begin Lesson 4, “How Are Plants Classified?” Students will learn how scientists classify plants and what mosses, ferns, conifers, and flowering plants are.
