We have been having great conversations! We are moving onto our next unit on Environmental Engineering and will work through a hands-on experiment “Cleaning an Oil Spill”. They will learn about how pollution affects ecosystems, how ecosystems are all connected;therefore any problem affects the whole system, and finally they will learn about the engineering process and learn how different plans and materials work within the engineering design process to solve problems.
Social Studies
We are finishing our study of Chapter 1, The Geography of the United States. Students completed Geo-Challenges A & B and we reviewed all the answers in class.
Students were asked to correct their work as we went through the questions. We also completed the maps on pages 18 and 21 in class today.
Blank Maps on Google Classroom:
- The questions and answer key for A & B are also on Google Classroom. I have also attached a blank world map.
- Blank copy of Geo-Challenge Maps A & B
- I also handed a hard copy of all of these maps in class.
The study guide for this chapter is on Google Classroom as of today 9/27. I have reviewed the study guide in class and the test will be on 10/4. Students should be taking their Social Studies book home each night to study for this test.
