This is the last Boomerang of the year!!! The students have done a wonderful job this year.
Math
Monday: June 2: Lesson 98, Negative Numbers
Tuesday: June 3: Adding and Subtracting Whole Numbers and Decimal Numbers
Wednesday: June 4: Lesson 100, Simplifying Decimal Numbers
Social Studies
Tomorrow we will have a lesson on Immigration to the United States. Next week on Tuesday we will review our Interactive Notebook for Chapter 16. Tuesday and Wednesday we will continue the immigration lesson.
Language Arts
The students are finishing up their Story Jumper stories and they are sure turning out well!!! The children really seemed to enjoy this project and put a lot of time and effort into creating their stories. I am really proud of all of them. Thank you, parents, for helping out with logging into the website and setting up the accounts. Next Monday, students will take a quiz on pronouns. I’ll post a study guide and some practice pages on Friday. This will be a pretty straight-forward quiz: identifying and choosing the correct usage of subject, object and possessive pronouns.
Science/Family Life
Students will learn how oxygen gets to the body cells from the lungs. They will discover how cells use oxygen to release energy from food. Students will also study the excretory system to learn how cells produce and get rid of wastes.
Family Life: Students will take a quiz on Chapter 5 & 6 next Tues. (6/7).
