Mr. Schreck–Update to come after Camp

Math – Mrs. Heuer (6th):  In our next chapter, we are working with 2D and 3D geometry.  Our goal in this chapter is not only to apply the formulas to find the area, volume, and surface area, but also to understand why the formulas work.  It’ll be very important for the students to bring their calculators each day.  There will be no more ALEKS checks for the rest of the year because of the busy nature of the end of the school year.  It can just be used as a supplement!

Science–Update to come after Camp

Social Studies

Students reviewed concepts in Chapter 10 as a review before starting Chapter 11 “To Declare Independence or Not.”  When students return from Camp, they will start Chapter 11 and participate in a mock debate.  More to come.
