Math
5/29 -Ch. 10 L. 10 – Divide Whole Numbers by Unit Fractions
5/30 -Ch. 10 L. 11 – Divide Unit Fractions by Whole Numbers
5/31 -Chapter Review
6/1 – Chapter Test
6/2 – Aleks – Test Corrections!!!!
Social Studies
Next week we will begin Chapter 13, The Revolutionary War!
The States and Capitals test is on June 2nd. It will be matching and there will be a word bank!
Science
Students begin a unit on the human body. Next week students will learn about the function of the respiratory system. Students will explore their own lung capacity by blowing and measuring bubbles.
Family Life: In Lesson 3 of the Family Life text, students will critically examine messages communicated by the media. Students will learn the importance of honest communication and practice good listening skills.
Language Arts
This week in language arts the focus for spelling words different suffixes. In grammar, students learned several new abbreviations and reviewed how to punctuate them in a sentence. The focus for writing was a definition paragraph. Students wrote their own paragraphs using a definition, examples, and non-examples of their term to describe it for the reader.
