Dear Fifth Grade Parents,
This is the last Boomerang letter of the year. Thanks so much for such a wonderful year and having such wonderful children! I have really enjoyed each and every one of them!
*Read about the Summer Math Challenge in the EFC! I will put a hard copy of the directions in the Report Card Envelopes!
*Bring in items for the class Thank You auction by Wednesday!!
*6/12 – Noon Dismissal
*6/13 – Dismissal after End of Year Mass ….Free Dress: Students should come to school in Sunday best! Report Cards will be handed out.
Math
Friday: Chapter 10, Lesson, 5 Hands On: using models to Multiply Fractions
Monday: Chapter 10, Lesson 6, Multiply Fractions
Tuesday: Chapter 10, Lesson 7, Multiply Mixed Numbers
Social Studies
The 5th graders had the Panel Debate today. It went very well. Tomorrow 6/6 they will have the Chapter 11 test. Next week we will continue on to Chapter 12. We will be reading the Chapter and completing the Interactive Notebook in class. No test will be given for Chapter 12.
Science
Students will wrap up their study of Family Life with a quiz on the male and female reproductive system next Tuesday.
