April 9, 2020 Boomerang

Dear Fifth Grade Parents,

I hope you all have a blessed Easter and a wonderful spring break! Please note that the Matrix for the week of April 20 – 24, 2020 will be updated for Monday (4/20) morning by 8:00am.

5A will be having daily morning zoom calls going forward from (8:30am – 8:45am) to say prayer together and to go over the “Matrix” for the day. I will not be publishing the zoom invites on my web-site for security reasons. Please be ready to join a zoom meeting with the 5A homeroom on Monday 4/20 at 8:30am. (Try to get in 5 minutes early and wait in the waiting room. I will only be admitting people into the zoom meetings in which I recognize student names.)

*One request for all over the long break is to make sure that your child’s device and Google account is labeled with his or her first name and last initial only. We cannot allow students into our Zoom meetings unless we recognize who they are by their correct first names. Some have given themselves nicknames that we don’t recognize making it impossible to know who is asking to join a meeting. I will only be able to admit students whose names I recognize. Thank you for your assistance with this.

Reading

As we near the end of Holy Week and look ahead to Easter and a short break from school, I want to wish everyone a Happy Easter. There will be no specific reading assigned over the break, but hopefully your 5th grader will use this time to enjoy his/her choice of reading material.

One request for all over the long break is to make sure that your child’s device and Google account is labeled with his or her first name and last initial only. We cannot allow students into our Zoom meetings unless we recognize who they are by their correct first names. Some have given themselves nicknames that we don’t recognize making it impossible to know who is asking to join a meeting. I will only be able to admit students whose names I recognize. Thank you for your assistance with this. Mrs. McFaul
